Mauritius - La Plantations

Dear hubby and I were in Mauritius last month. The trip was planned earlier last year. When we managed to hunt down the agency during the MATTA Fair, we thought that we had a good deal. However, given the current economic situation, the trip was actually pretty luxurious. We spent almost MYR9k for 5 days-3 nights for the both of us, which included accommodation, flight and ground tours.

The place we stayed was called La Plantations. It’s situated up north of the island, (erm, I’ve forgotten what’s the place called) about an hour’s drive from the airport and amidst wide lands covered with sugar canes. There were no long white sandy beaches in this hotel, but what they lack, they made it up with a beautiful and serene lake. Hubby and I spent many wonderful evenings sitting by the lake, enjoying each other’s company.

Here’s a take at the hotel lobby, room and some beach and lake sceneries.
