A lil pink-haired gal

Learnt a quick children's craft recently using totally the simple things found everyday in our homes. This would be perfect for the children! They will be able to make this in just half an hour by following these few easy steps. This might be a bit tough for the younger children though, so it is recommended for children between 7 to 12 years old.

All u need is a fly swatter (yup, u read it right) small round eyes (available as stickers from stationery shops), colourful wool threads aka knitting wools (the more vibrant the colours, the better), some papers, glue & scissors.

Just cut the papers to shape the eyes, mouth, cheeks and paste them on one side of the fly swatter. Then cut the knitting wool to the desired length and tie them on the top of the fly swatter to shape the hair. You can make a pony tail, piggy tails or braid the hair and VOILA! Your puppet is ready….. !! Of course, you need to cut shorter threads as the hair for the boys.... And, if you are creative, you can decorate them with spectacles, or a toothy grin, or big red cheeks ....
Try it out, it’s as easy as it sounds….

Hmmn, come to think of it, this lil pink haired girl is not too bad at all .... I think I will bring her along for story telling on Sunday then!
